Parcel
12 is a specific portion of the tract of land which constitutes the central
artery project. The intention of the Boston Redevelopment Authority is for the
construction of modest development on this site. No specific program is given,
and the fate of this area has yet to be determined as of this masters research
project. This site contains several difficult issues to contend with. Three
entrance and exit ramps to and from the underground tunnel must be dealt with.
It also borders several distinct areas of the city which must be given consideration.
For this project I will work within the parameters set forth by the Boston Redevelopment
Authority to develop this site, as well as the adjacent parkland to the northwest
of parcel 12.
